Robin Teigland of the Stockholm School of Economics, received her B.A. with distinction in Economics at Stanford University. After obtaining an MBA at Wharton and an M.A. in International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and working as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., she now researches the organization and management of knowledge work. While her interests include the strategic use of IT, her primary focus is on informal extra-organizational boundary spanning activities and their relationship with a firm's competitive advantage. She has taught numerous courses in strategy, Knowledge Management and social capital at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels as well as consulted within these areas.
