Biography

Debbie Bergholdt holds a Master of Education from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has 13 years of experience in adult education and training. Debbie is currently the state GED administrator for the Virginia Department of Education, Office of Adult Education and Literacy, in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to this, she served as program development specialist with the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center in Richmond, chief GED examiner with Hampton Public Schools in Hampton, Virginia, and adult education program manager for York County, Virginia. Debbie has extensive experience in program improvement, strategic planning, group facilitation, and online professional development planning and delivery.
