Biography

Dr. Beverly Bickel is the Director of the English Language Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and assistant research professor in the Language, Literacy and Culture Doctoral Program. Working with international teams, she has developed and taught globalized communication courses and developed online professional development courses for English teachers and English language learners. Her research is in globalized communication and how the public space of the internet supports transformational dialogue and knowledge projects.
