Biography

Rob Smith started his career teaching English in Secondary Schools in Birmingham, West Midlands. A decade of working in the FE sector involved him in the industrial relations issues of the time as a trade union (NATFHE) activist. His doctorate is based on what happened in the sector at this time. He is now a Post Compulsory Education Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Wolverhampton.
