Biography

Ralf St.Clair is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Adult and Continuing Education at the University of Glasgow. Before this, he worked in Canada and the US for fifteen years, in literacy, community education and evaluation. He teaches and supervises postgraduate students in the areas of literacy and community based adult education. His interests include learning theory, assessment and educational policy. In 2004, he was appointed as the Virtual Scholar in Residence with the National Literacy Secretariat in order to evaluate their research support programme. Ralf's publications include articles and book chapters focused on the field of educational research. Recently he has been publishing on the political economy of educational research and the way it affects knowledge production.
