Jeanne Bitterman, Columbia University, USA
Dr. Bitterman is a lecturer in adult and continuing education at Teachers College, Columbia University since 1983 and serves as core faculty for these graduate programs. She has served as a consultant for training and continuing education programs in a number of healthcare and public education organizations. She has been an educational administrator for the New York City Board of Education, coordinating Basic Education, Employability and English as a Second Language Programs. She maintains a practice in basic education for clients in residential treatment. Most recently she lead a team designing the adult and community education component of a curriculum designed to promote democratic dialogue, developed to accompany Spike Lee's documentary 'When the Levees Broke'.
