Biography

Glenda Cox is a Staff Development Officer at the Centre for Educational Technology at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Since June 2000, she has worked on projects that use technology for teaching and online collaboration. Initially her focus was on the use of qualitative research software and content analysis tools to analyse synchronous and asynchronous online conversations in university courses. Since 2003, her work has been focused on researching the take-up and effect of staff development initiatives. She also works in a mentoring role with academics who have attended workshops and started new technology interventions.
