Biography

Cathie Lacey has been a teacher for over 20 years, teaching in a wide variety of situations including primary ESL in England, English language teaching in Zambia and Nigeria, 12 years in FE (mainly focussing on language development) and has been a lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Wolverhampton since 2003. Her particular interest is in the teaching of English (language) to non-native speakers. This has involved focussed study on bilingual teenagers in FE and on the development of ESOL teacher identity.
